Seabirds in Hawai‘i

There are 23 species of seabirds that breed in the Hawaiian Archipelago.

The majority of Hawaiian seabirds are found on the low-lying islands and atolls of Papahanaumokuakea, where they are mostly free from threats of development and introduced predators. Maui is home to several seabirds, including some endemic and endangered species.
